The Art Society of Inverness was founded over 75 years ago and is still going strong; it brings together professionals, semi-professional artists, and those with an interest in art from all over the Highlands. It provides a wide range of activities and opportunities, from talks and beginners classes, to regular evening classes, workshops and exhibitions. This website is intended for both members and non-members, so please explore it through the menus above to find out more.

Some of our activities are illustrated below, followed by news about recent and upcoming events. Recent news can also be found on our Facebook Site here.

COMING SOON....

AGM & TALK

On Saturday 10th December @ 2:30pm

at the Kings Factory, Smithton

ASI member, William Mather, will accompany the AGM with a talk on:

 “Art, Life and Play”

William aims to be both informative and entertaining!

The talk will be illustrated and will include personal reflections on struggles with paint in different spheres of life. There will be a spiritual element, and  observations on how the artist can bring both revelation and celebration at home and abroad.  It is also about the fun the artist can have with places, people, landscapes and portraits.

All members welcome, and please bring interested friends along
