The Inverness Art Society holds a major exhibition every year in, or near to, Inverness. Several recent exhibitions were held in the Town House, Inverness, but this will not be possible for 2020. The committee are currently investigating possible venues with a view to holding the exhibition in the summer or autumn, and suggestions for suitable venues from members are always welcome. Once the next venue has been agreed it will be announced here, and in the ArtyFacts newsletter.

The ASI also holds special events from time to time. As part of our 75th Anniversary we held a Pot Luck Lunch at North Kessock Village Hall in October 2019. There was a silent auction of Art produced in CD Cases by members.
Following that in early December the Society was fortunate to be able to rent an empty unit for just over a week in the Inverness Victorian Market. This was for a members' Christmas exhibition of original paintings and cards for sale. Over 80 paintings were exhibited with eight being sold along with several hundred cards. We were able to make a donation of over £200 to the British Heart Foundation after covering all costs and are very grateful to the Market staff for their support.

A sale of artwork was being planned, to be held in Killearnan Church Hall on 22nd and 23rd May, in aid of Highland Hospice. Sadly this had to be postponed following te Coronavirus crisis.
